A Safe Haven for God’s Children: Emergency Aid for Our School in Nigeria
Where children no longer have to live in fear.
Within the walls of a school, there should be laughter and learning. But for the children at our facility in Nigeria, everyday school life is marked by a threatening reality. The school’s proximity to the forest and the lack of a protective fence make them a target for human traffickers. Without protection, they are defenseless against the danger of abduction.
Our Mission: Rebuilding the protective wall
It breaks our hearts to see that the children not only have to fear for their safety but also suffer from the crumbling buildings. We can no longer leave the protection and dignity of these children to chance.
This is where your help makes a direct difference:
Building the protective wall: Our top priority. We must erect a solid wall that separates the school grounds from the forest and restores the children’s safety.
Repairing the roof: A place for learning should not be a place where rain pours in. We are renovating the roof structure to ensure dry and safe classrooms.
Securing the buildings: Windows and doors must be able to be securely locked again. We are replacing the dilapidated fixtures so that the children are safe inside.
Basic sanitation: The dilapidated outhouse will be rebuilt to preserve health and human dignity.
Love in Action: A Foundation of Hope
Jesus taught us to care for the least among us. This is how we understand our mission. Every euro donated is a building block for these children’s safety and a promise to them that we will not leave them alone.
